Would I be able to put either of these two Viejas in my tank?

Stocked with:
gold severums
EBJD
BGK
clown loaches
gibby pleco

I would love to introduce at a smaller size of course.

Right now it would be in a 55g but I'm planning on upgrading to atleast a 180 this summer, if not a 200+.

I'd be a little worried about adding them later if I get them when they're still fairly small. My EBJD can bully my smallest clown loach around sometimes.

I guess maybe I shouldn't worry either way because I always provide a natural environment and plenty of driftwood and places to hide...

I'm just eager to pick one or both Viejas up. Gotta see if my LFS will pull some strings for me too. Wouldn't like to get them sight-unseen if at all possible.

the argentea will dominate the tank and two veijas in thr same tank is 50/50

What do you think about what the synipsilum might do? Would that one be more aggressive?

What's the typical realistic size these guys get? and growth rate...?

Now when you guys say "rule" do you mean as in just the alpha of the tank or will it actually injure the other inhabitants? Would that be different if it was a female argentea?

my experience if the tank is too small they will dominate ,injure and kill their tankmatesl

With a large tank ( 6' or > ) you may get away with either, they can establish their little area........

I'd wait till you upgrade...

Personally I prefer the colors on the V. synipsilum. I'd love to have both though, don't get me wrong. I think I'm leaning towards the syn though.

I think I will wait until I get my much-needed, much-larger tank this summer. Maybe by then my sevs will pair off and raise some viable fry to help me cheapen the cost of my next equipment/set up. My LFS has been drooling over the idea of my sevs breeding. I wouldn't mind it one bit! lol
