Vieja Synspilum pair

I have had these guys for a while now and had someone recently think they are a cross with a fh. I dont think they look like a cross but I thought I would get some more opinions incase I started keeping the fry.

I ain't an expert but they don't look like a hybrid to me....

Where'd ya buy them at ? was they sold to you as W/c or what was their F #

I got them from a add online as far as I know they are just tank raised. They are the 2 I kept out of the 8 or so I originally purchased at about 3-4" in size. The male is now about 9" and the female 5" havent seen much growth lately so they maybe top out at this size.

They look right as rain to me, no FH in those fish.

Having said that, some FH breeders have used syns in their breeding programs, so perhaps that's what the person was thinking about.

They certainly don't top out at 9" (males at least). One of the guys who works at my LFS brought his Syn male in and it was 12" of pure aggression.
