Community fish?

I just adopted a female "quetzal" or "red-headed cichlid". So far she has been living with a Senegal bichir and a peacock eel. I'm rearranging things and I'm wondering if she will be aggressive to other cichlids. I've read they are only aggressive to conspecifics. I have a similarly sized male geogymnophagus I want to move out of my discus tank.

I also want to add my clown pleco, roseline shark, large synodontis, and finleyi cichlid.

Will my vieja cause problems?

she might be agressive but why not give it a try just keep a close eye on them...good luck bro

In my experience (I currently have 4 of these fish... large ones and small ones), synspillums are among the milder strains of vieja. I think you'll probably be fine. Keep an eye out for any rough stuff and be ready to act, but I'd be surprised if it didn't work out. That said, I don't know much about finleyi cichlids, and this assumes you have a suitably sized aquarium, which for me, would be a 6 ft. 125 or larger, when talking about a synspillum in a community setting.

As long as theres hiding places and the tanks big enough things should be ok... Males tend to be the more aggressive.

ive had 2 males both very fairly aggressive . my first was constantly fighting a large male jag. maybe if she doesnt find one the fish as a threat it could work
