Hello everyone currently have a 180G current stock is

L24 pleco
Oscar
Jack Dempsey
Severum
6 silver dollars

Now I’m potentially looking at adding 1 more fish weather that means I ship off the jack dempsey as she’s a little nippy and chases the other fish a little

The cichlid I’m currently looking at is the vieja synspilum and have a few questions regarding these

How aggressive are they to let’s say a jack dempsey?
I see multiple things on them saying they are pretty peaceful and other people saying some can be dam right evil but all the fish in there small apart from the severum and the silver dollars, Oscar is still a baby and the dempsey around 4 inches

In terms of bio load as I know it will get mentioned I run a 100G sump underneath

Vieja melanura (the name synspilulum is no longer considered vallid (most LFSs are not current with science) is a generally nonaggressive Central American omnivore, leaning to the vegetarian side (like your severum). They get quite large (15") and may become territorial with age, if it does, none of your other fish will be able to match it in a tank as small as a 180.
But if all your fish are young now, and they grow up together, they may work out territorial needs along the way.
I don't know what your water change schedule is now, but with those fish it will need to increase gradually every few months as they grow.
No matter what your filtration, as adults you may need to be doing probably 50% of the tanks water twice per week to keep bio load manageable
The ones below on the right of the shot, are young, only about 304"
