Well my largest male has taken on a more dominant coloration compared to the others. He is extremely light almost white in appearance some time. It is crazy the difference from the others, posted pics of both for comparison. Hopefully a future beast!

Mine look JUST like that! :)

Nice! Rarely see that huge a difference. I believe the other 2 Zonatus are males too. Are yours fairly mellow? I get standard cichlid chasing but nothing too crazy. The undisputed boss of tank is a big Syn that may help quell any issues

Mine were a lot crazier when they were smaller. They're about 10-12 inches now, maybe a year old. I have 3 in a 540 with other Vieja, and in my tank a big Synspilum is the boss of the tank, too. But....I wouldn't say they're mellow.

They are very athletic....for big pig fish, they are VERY quick and agile.

How certain are you that yours are male? I have no idea what sex mine are. How do you tell?

really only certain about the dominant one, the others are a guess. I did have him in with a female and they spawned once before I threw him in my large tank. I bought them all at the same size and the female just grew a lot slower than these guys did. Could be wrong though

What size are yours? How old you think they are?
