Much more important than that is the fact that critter keepers are to small and you are unable to properly heat them. Unless you have some kind of way to heat them properly and chuse a big one, there are bether hosing choises for this inverts:D

They don't need heat... ambident temperature is all they need.

I have always kept them in jars. A big tupperware would work, but BE CAREFUL since it's easy to get bitten in tupperwares.

Oh, ok,I dint know that:D. But and they dont need a deeper subst in wich to burry themselfes to molt like milipedes?

I HAVE ALWAYS KEPT MINE IN PLASTIC CONTAINERS OR 5 GAL AQUARIUMS SOMETHING DEEP IS BETTER, SOME SOIL OR MOSS ON THE BOTTOM AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO. THESE GUYS EAT ANYTHING TOO, JUST BE CAREFULL NOT TO GET BIT, IT CAN BE VERRRY PAINFUL.

They do prefer deep substrate.

well I thought of putting one in this 5 gallon after I move this baby crested but the guy said he heard ppl say they've chewed through the plastic. So I waited to see what you guys thought. From keeping some very aggressive tarantulas I figured it would be the same thing. For coura they make pretty big critter carriers now,at least here they do,thanks guys for your info on this. How long do these things live?

new crested cage.JPGforgot the pic, might be too small so I might just use it for another T or something later.
