nice selection. i was into viking metal for a while. esspecially amon amarth. It sounds almost identical to black metal.

I heard a show with Viking Metal on Sirius radio before and I really liked it. I never knew any of the band names so I never got any of the music.

Heh. Not to meeeee. (I am a HUGE metalhead. Plus, most of the crap being called black metal isn't really "black metal". Cradle of filth? (new) Dimmu Borgir? Pshh. Listen to Burzum if you want true black metal)

I hesitated putting Amon Amarth up there since they are more death/melodic death. Their cd Once Sent From The Golden Halls was straight up death. But their attitude and lyrics is just dripping with vikingness....
