Vinegar safe to clean acrylic?

Hello, I bought a used acrylic tank that I need to clean out well before buffing. Does anyone know if vinegar is safe to use on acrylic or would you recommend anything else? Thanks.

I wipe the outside of my acrylic tank with vinegar all the time. Haven't seen any ill effects. If you find out that it's bad, update the thread.

I think the vinegar is safe, using a soft cloth.I use something called brillianize on my 1 acrylic tank

Vinegar is safe, just don't use windex or other cleaners with ammonia as it can cause crazing
