Vinyl Flooring??

Anyone ever attempt to use vinyl flooring to seal a plywood tank? Just curious to see if it would work. Any thoughts?? Of course I would use silicone on the seams, but what would happen in long term submersion?

youd have to seal the wood first. I'd say add the vinyl during clear coat. BUT i havnt done anything like that so really i just dont know!! LOL sorry

Seems like it would work... The key would be to seal the seams. Are you going to overlap or cut to size and use silicone or something else?

cut to size and make sure all the seams were siliconed. i would use just a little silicone underneath just to make it stick.

its a big gamble. vinyl flooring isn't meant to be water tight. then you still have the corners to worry about. could be a disaster if a slow leak started to rot the wood. I would do it the epoxy way.
