Went out last weekend, I caught a 19.5" striper, tons of small bluefish, and the guy next to me got a 3' american eel-

kinda funny, i was using a small eel for bait !

Where are you fishing? On the east coast I don't know of any states that allow you to keep striped bass that small. Hoping you just kept bluefish, but you'd need a larger tank for them fast.
Yeah there are no states that you can keep that striper legally. The closes one is Maine with 20 thru 26 inch slot limit.
