YES I think its very possible to sex them

WHATS UP GRIF longtime no speak to but heres my story

me and Yama purchased our P.A.A's from Toyin in Nov. of 07, both of them got off to slow starts eating wise (as expected no biggy tho) now almost a year has passed they are both doing very well....BUT very different looks, and behaviour wise

Yama's is about 18 1/4in. VERY fat, not very active, does no digging, color pattern is starting now to change from the spotted marbley pattern to almost straight gray with just little marbled lines, and his lungs "arms" are a tab bit thicker and shorter

BUT ON THE CONTRARY

mine is just touching 18in. so he's a little smaller, a little more active then Yama's, mine is slim where Yama's is FAT (both are eating VERY well), attitude wise mine is starting to bite the glass, attack the filter intake, and attack the syphon hose, he's got a GOOD sized hole "nest" dug now which he guards from ANYTHING bite first think later, mines "arms" are longer and a little skinnyer, their head shape is different mines snout is a little pointer, the most noticeable difference on the head is the JAW muscles mines are HUGE like that of a big male Tegu lizard literally

WHAT DO Y'ALL THINK

I can say one thing tho before y'all start THEY ARE 100% BOTH ETHIOPIANS NOT COMMONS FOR SURE

Oi FWlion..Yours is prob. the male then. (nest building)
The behaviour of your lung is the same as my dolloi.
Also real agressive. also attacking the glass and everything in his tank.
My P.A.A. is a bit more mellow. He is not doing so well lately.
He is up to 43 inch..now .the filter on it's tank just could not cope with his waste.
I got it a new filter last week. with a self cleaning screen. (it cleans itself every half hour)

hope this works better.
I'm planning on getting it a new tank at the end of this year.
His tank is getting far to small for it. they are now in 5 x 2,5x2,5 ft tanks.
keeping lungs is an expencive hobby for sure.
did not expect them to grow this fast. (I als tought my dolloi was done growing) but it just started growing again and is also at 43 inch now. (just under 110 cm)
