Visit to a koi hobbist in Holland! Pics!!

Hey all,

I went to a koi hobbist yesterday and made some pics. He has some of the top koi in Holland and a very nice pond.

The url on the pics are those of his website. On the left when you click "vijver" you can see how the pond is constructed. Be shure to check it out.

This part of the pond is indoors, you can see it in the back. You can also see part of his filtration, the bead filters. He has some more filtration under the floor boards.

He has some very nice koi, some of wich are even prize winning! Anyway, judge for yourself.

Geez!!! That is totally awesome!! Thats a hobbyists personal set up? VERY VERY NICE!! That is top notch!!! For any fish keeper!! I bet he is very very proud of it and loves showing it off! Man, i am impressed. Definately a MFK..

damm. that is a really nice pond setup. so the pond has like an outdoor section and behind that garage doors is the indoor section? and the koi are free to swim in and out?

love those kois they are so healthy and brightly colored! and damm there is this huge grey giant one! 2 feet plus in length?

Yeah. Check out his website and click the "vijver" link on the left. There's the build proces and you can see how it put together. The grey ones where almost 3 ft and thick! There absolutely not shy and make the other koi feel more secure. Every koi pond should have some.
