I am heading to Shedds aquarium in 2 weeks. Are there any LFS worth going to in the Chicago area. Mainly ones with rays, I have a feeling when I see the rays at Shedds I am going to want another one.
Thanks
1). Old Towne Aquarium - in Chicago
2). Living Sea - in Park Ridge (NW suburb)
2). Scotts Pet Shop - in Westchester (SW suburb)
I have not been to Scott's in years but, he used to have a really cool stingray pond in the middle of the store. If he is there, ask for a backstage tour. He used to keep 20+ rays in ponds in the back of the store as his personal pets.
Scott's moved away from selling stingrays. He changed most of the tanks he kept rays in and converted them to saltwater, with the exception of a few motoros in the tank by the door. He did have a blue spotted (saltwater) ray in the shop once.
I used to live a few minutes away from Scott's, but moved about 40 minutes away a few years ago. I hardly ever go by there anymore, so maybe he got back into rays.

a little derail, but I was trying to find the smallest FW mature adult sting ray. Which species of FW sting ray is the smallest in size at an adult age?
