some fish pics from the lfs. i took pictures as quickly as possible cuz the owner of the shop didnt like it. hahah
well, here it is. enjoy.


a giant gourami and a gar. there some a couple of arowanas about 80cm,a big peacock bass and a shovelnose catfish in the same tank but the reflection makes it really hard to take a picture. as u can see, a car can easily be seen by the glass. -_-


the lucky giant gourami. beautiful.

some clown loaches and shovelnose catfish.

U really put some effort to take those photo..that lucky gourami were dyed actually, so pity..anyway, nice shot..

hahah. yeah. the owner didnt realise tht i was taking photos when he 'greated' me. hahah then i took my fish and left the shop. those are the only pics tht i managed to take.
dyed? u mean like painted on? i dont know. there were two of them actually and both were sold for rm68.90. hahah. quite a big number huh?

The fish aren't dyed but actually tattooed in there skin. These fish don't last too long because the injection of colors is really stressful and usually the fish won't live long. Also, the fish that survive will have the colors slowly fade away. Tattooing fish and cutting a fish to look like something else is to only fascinate people that don't have experience with fish and that's why they buy the cute ones.. A lot of fish stores sell heart shaped parrot fish. They have the body that looks like a heart but it looks that way because some cut their tails off. Pretty sad.

The dye in the Gourami doesn't seem to hinder it's life, it fades and it just becomes a regular white Gourami after about 6 months. Still kinda dumb though! Should be illegal.

really?! i didnt know this. fyi, they sold it with a higher price than a regular giant gourami. he's owner is a real pain in the ass. he doesnt even want me to take pics of his fish. -_- now he's selling this tattoed gourami, i need to find another lfs.
