Hey, I've decided to order vita chem supplement for my ipatinga cichla kelberi and seeing I'll never get him on pellets I decided to add vita chem to his diet. I feed him live wild caught, quarentined, gutloaded shiners right now, I keep them downstairs in a 60 gallon old broken freezer then I bring them up and keep about 1-2 dozen in a 5 gallon. and I just wanted to ask how would I add the supplement? Do I add it directly on the feeder or do I add a few drops in the 5 gallon quarantine? And on an experts opinion is vita chem the best supplement for cichla? And if not what is? THANKS!!;);););)

In my experience Vita Chem is best used to soak meaty foods such as raw shrimp or fish fillet. If the shiners are alive I'm not sure how you could get it into them effectively. You'd be better off feeding the shiners a good quality flake or pellet a few minutes before they are fed to the kelberi.

Hypodermic needle and inject into the feeder/cut fish/shrimp, etc.
