Vitamins

I use VitaChem FW occassionally. I'll make up a batch of presoaked Tetra Color Bits or Earthworm Stcks and keep the food in an airtight prescription bottle stored in the fridge.
I also add it to beefheart based blends that are kept in freezer packs.

i'm starting to become intrigued in DIY fishfood.

so you just pretty much blend w/e sounds good up, and freeze it? sounds easy enough, maybe i'll start experimenting with this.

Any human vit's that anyone can suggest?

Quantities differ from species to species, however these vitamins are generally used for maximum growth in common aquaculture fishes.

Thiamin
Riboflavin
Pyridoxine
Pantothenic Acid
Niacin
Folic Acid
B12
Inositol
Cholin
Biotin
Ascorbic acid
A, D, E, and K

Human vitamins that contained these could work, however the dosage would be anyones guess. There may be a maximum tolerance to a vitamin as well so be careful and go with prepared diets if you can not find a dosage chart in the literature specific to your species.

If you are looking to make your own diets I wouldn't recommend just grinding together whatever looks good. There is a science to fish diets, and if anyone is interested I could go into it for you.
