Vittatus grow out question

What tank size would be needed to grow out a vittatus tiger fish to 12 inches from 4 inches

minimum 6x2 180g will get a vatf from 4" to 12" no problem but will need an upgrade later on.

I'm not so sure about this. My vatf seems to growing at a good clip still now at 15-16". I'm thinking you will probably be better off going 8x4. They are incredibly fast fish so the more room the better.

I agree with KNH i just moved my 14 incher from a 270 6x3x2 to my 600 8x4x2.5 .....they will need the space

I grew my old ATF in a 55 gallon until they were 6". Easier to pellet train in a smaller tank. After they hit 6" I moved them to the 180 and a year later was 11".
