Started my Viv build today. Made a little progress, damn ladybugs are everywhere and were buggin me. Here are some pics of the base.


Started with a damaged (scratched) cabinet base I bought at work.

Some pond liner I picked up, i still plan on building a nice koi pond at the new house. I cut a square piece out for the next picture.

I went with a cascade waterfall top for the pond.

Heres the base. That pond will be recessed into the plywood.

I wrapped the ply in the liner for easy cleanup. All thats left is building the sides, top and front. Please comment. Good or bad. I need imput. lol.

Hopefull I'll get to work on it this weekend. I think I'm going to drill the pond for a little skimmer. I didn't realize (no clue why) that the pond has a lower spot in it until i got it home. I figured for 10 bucks i could make it work, maybe I'll build it to where the low spot is where the inhabitants enter the little pool. It's too small to put the heater in it so I'll heat the sump. Anymore suggestions?
