hOLA FRIENDS TOOK MUCH TIME READING THE FORUM, AND ME FINALLY DECIDE TO POSTING.
I have a doubt. will see.
I have 3 small flowerhorn aquarium with 1 each, for lack of space issues have internal filters, and I'm sure lack substrate for bacterial growth.

my question is, could put some volcanic gravel to promote beneficial bacterial settlement???

thank you

ahh, and, I understand, but I think I have been misunderstood in the filters if I have good stuff, what I said was for the FLOOR, since the filters are little home interiors and cargo volume.
thanks

then you could really use any gravel you want its still going to collect bacteria and you could use LARGE peices of lava rock but i would make sure they dont have sharp ends

All kinds of mierda is gonna get stuck under your gravel, especially with your filter.
Why not get a sponge filter and have the bacteria colonize there?

because if true, would remain hidden ****.
you believe with a sponge filter, and the other inner filter (has air venturi too) would be enough for a single flowerhorn????

thanks

Most likely yes.
Depends on the size of tank and how often you do water changes,

I personally like to vacuum a bare bottom tank every other day and add water
