I'm considering getting one or two but want to know about them. Are they prone to carrying parasites or anything like that? They seem thin in the videos I have been watching of them but that doesn't seem healthy to me? I just don't want to bite off more than I can chew! Any experienced good or bad I would love to hear them/see pics!

I have a 13-14"(TL) vulture I have grown out since about 5" . Absolutely great catfish. They are much more active than a bullhead or anything like that and they do stay pretty thin, but not unhealthy thin. Mine will eat krill, tilapia, and massivore. My vulture does sometimes get spooked and put his tankmates on edge but it's a rare occurrence.

I just read your comment on another post about vultures in cohabitation with rays. I have zero experience with rays but I can say that vultures do some damage when they bite. I have a 17" TSN and my vulture bit his cheek...twice and cleanly removed a significant portion of lip and face. The TSN has since healed up and they've been fine for a few months but definitely something to keep an eye out for.

I've never owned one Luke but I'm not sure Rays would care for the energy they bring. Imo irwini would be a better cat as a ray tank mate.
