Vulture on Vulture Aggression

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just an update, things were going very well up until today. The bigger vulture had been leaving the smaller one alone and it’s fin was healing up.

However, when I went and checked on them today, this is what I found:
B28FAA3E-33C1-4E8E-A96A-CB5ABDEA032D.jpeg7EC8F2AA-1909-40D3-A906-C14231EC29C3.jpeg22CD8945-055B-4678-8CFC-2AFC38629AF2.jpeg

This is definitely the worse thank before. I’m going to start finding somewhere I can rehome one of them to. I’m not interested in getting money for either one, I just want to make sure whichever one goes, goes to a good home.

If you guys have any suggestions, I’m open to them.

thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter if you know of anybody in the Ohio area that would like one of these guys, please let me know. Also, if you’re interested in it, let me know and we can try to work something out to get it down to you.

Well, surely the OFR. I'd more than gladly take it in.

I’ve definitely thought about OFR, but it is close to a four hour drive, one-way. It would be a good home.

If you have an idea of how much it would be to ship it to you (probably airport to airport), please PM me and I’ll check it out. I truly don’t know of a better place for it to go other than down with you.

Check with Josh still. They and their contacts, donors, collaborators, and Co. travel often. He may find a simpler transfer to the OFR.

Can check with JasonGoneFishing if you are around where he is, Dayton, Ohio-Kentucky.

Much appreciate the sentiment, bro, thanks, but it'll be challenging for a layman to ship a spiny fish like that - need a thick bag or a hard wall shipment container, like a small cooler, and of course oxygen. Cost-wise, it could be around $50 air to air, or UPS / FedEx overnight wouldn't be too different.

Well, you are in Dayton! I forgot. You can talk to Jason then JasonsPlecosCichlids JasonsPlecosCichlids . He is a great guy. If he can't take it, he can pack it for shipping for you or even help ship. He's got an importer license now and deals with shipping fish a lot. That way you could extend your target area to all of the USA. Of course, Jason doesn't run a charity, so if he did it for you, you would have to find a way to thank him.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have actually made arrangements with the Ohio Fish Rescue. They are going to be by to pick it up on Sunday.
