I've got some questions about setting up a w/d with HOB overflows on my new tank. I done hrs of reading on here and now want to ask specific questions about my set-up. Last Febuary i found a killer deal on a 225g tank. I built a stand and hood for it right away. Then... The whole set-up sat in my garage until this October. I moved then, and finally had enough room for this big boy!

Currenly i have three XP3's running on the tank. I want to set up a w/d system and drop most, if not all of these.

Here's my issues... I have zero experience with w/d's! The tank isn't drilled, so I'd be going with HOB overflows. I bought an acrylic 55g around the same time and with some research on here, I turned it into a w/d. I now need to know the following things...

1: Do i need to have 2 HOB overflows? (heard this is best incase one loses suction)

2: Does anyone have experience with CPR brand oveflows? I've heard good and bad from these, but they seem to be a little more discrete or slimmer in build.

3: I'm going with submersible pump(s). Should I go with 1 or 2? I want to have at least 2 points of return... Should I bifercate the return from one, or just run two pumps?

4: What do I need for flow rate? Both on the overflows and pumps.

5: Is my only option for flow rate control a ball valve... This is how I should balance things between the overflow and return right?

Sorry for all the questions... In over 15 years of fish keeping, I've never had more then HOB's or canister filters.
