Hey all-

Brand n00b to the site, but not to aquatics. Currently working on the design of a paludarium, it will end up having between 50-70 gallons of water area. It will be plywood, with a drilled overflow system to a wet dry.

Was looking at the JD's lots of pics, and would a 20g (either regular or 20L) tank be a sufficient size to filter the paludarium, would I be better served going to something like a 30L? It will probably be two feeds of 1/2" pipe, but that may change as I read through all the stuff on making w/d filters.

Any information is appreciated!

John

Assuming you can fit whatever media, pumps, etc you have planned for the sump inside a 20g, I think it would work just fine. More water capacity is always better, if you have the space for a larger sump I would go as big as you can.
