there are no people living in the house next door to me and there was this rather large tank next to their house. it clearly holds water well because it was almost full of black water spawning thousands of mosquitos. :P so... i did the only right thing and waited a couple weeks before i dumped the water and had the tank carried to my backyard for cleaning. it looks like someone tried to reinforce all the seams with extra silicone or something cuz it's not done super well, but HEY IT'S FREE. i put the measurements in and it's a standard 40 gal.

TELL ME THAT'S NOT AWESOME.

and then TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD EVENTUALLY PUT IN THERE. :D :D :D

Free stuff rules:D
Should of fed all those mosquito larvae to your fish...free food!

As for what to get

Mbuna tank!!!:headbang2
lol I always say that Im obsessed:screwy:

I'm probably getting a free 40 breeder tomorrow too!!! Good find:)

free is always good. You gotta kill those mosquito larve though...cause they will turn into mosquitoes:grinno:

if its free its for me :)

Sounds like there may be an issue with the seams if somebody has tried to patch it. I would play it safe cut the old stuff out and invest $5 in a tube of ge silicone 1 (no mildew additive). 40g looks bigger on the floor :D

oh i didn't even think to feed them to my fish. they were so squirmy and there were so many of them i revolted and just tipped them all out to dry out on the ground. yay!

the tank holds water well (it had algae and all sort of neatness in there from all the water it had held for so long before) but i did buy a tube of silicon and i figured it could give it a quick touch-up. also, my little 10 gal i noticed may have been leaking this morning, or it's the cats tipping crap over everywhere, so crapola hooray i'm sure i could use the silicon on that guy too.

i'm honestly just a small hobby fish keeper, i spend most of my money on my rats, but what would be a fun to watch fish that will be happy in the 40 gal with 2 angels? i already have the angels, they're very small but i'm sure the 10 gal is not a happy place for them forever.

okay thank goodness the cats had just knocked over a watering can for my plants onto the table my tank was on. jerks. i was panicking thinking it was leaking, but nope, hooray.
