I have a small sunset guppy that naturally has a swimming problem. She's "fluttered" around ever since she was a fry really, so I'm not concerned about that. However, the problem and only symptom I seem to be able to notice is that she has these two white caves in her, one in front of her dorsal fin and one on the left side atop her ribs. I had a Black Molly die a couple months ago presumably of the same thing. After examining him after he died, I found that the white cave/hole (whatever you wish to call it) had gone down to having his ribs literally poking out of the side of the hole. It was as if he had been dug out with a tiny spoon to reveal his ribs. After making a small incission to expose his organs, they seemed highly rotten, as if he had been dead for a couple days. Mind you, I saw him die myself, and he had only been dead for a couple hours, not days.
Can anybody diagnose this? To me, it almosts looks like Neon Tetra Disease when it starts out. I've never seen a severe case of NTD however as I've seen it only once before in real life, and it was very mild when I saw it. I also thought it may have been fungal, but I treated it as that with the molly, and there was no change. What can I do? (I tried getting a couple picture, but my fish isn't very good at staying still, so that didn't work)
