Wait... do apple snails give live birth?

Last night, I went to a lake and caught this guy:

Before adding him into the quarantine, i gave him a bath which involved scrubbing down his shell, rinsing him multiple times..... I cleaned him up pretty good IMO.


This morning, less than 12 hours after adding him, i see these in the tank.

That's not an Apple snail, but a trapdoor snail which is livebearing.

Its a viviparus (trapdoor snail, as mentioned by the previous poster), which do give live birth.
