OK...... First of all i feel silly in comparison to many of your MONSTER tanks, but as i live in a small Flat (apartment) its the biggest i can accomodate.

The dimensions are as follows: 50"x21"x24".

Now for what fish i like. I like oscars, severums (in particular goldies:drool: ), Uaru's and i love all cat fish on the face of this planet.

I now have 4 weeks til my tanks arrives and i am starting to gather decor etc.... and i want to plan the inhabitants first to best cater for them.

I am looking for suggestions...... critiscisms.....even insults...... anything to help me decide on a nice stock list.

I say get an oscar a couple rotkiel or red face severums and one good size cat of your choice.one that will get about 12 inches that would look sweet!!The rotkiel are my favs thats why i through those in instead of gold sevs.

I'd go with a an oscar, couple severums and a few dithers I think it should be ok as long as you got a good filter and could get away with a catfsih that doesn't get really huge over a foot

Thank you so much for your comments.

So my tank is "monster" enough to house those sort of fish? I have done so much research its unreal and there are too many opinions on tank size. I have a fluval 205 and a fluval 305 for filtration, but i am looking to get an FX5. They are rare to find second ahnd and expensive new in the UK!

Rotkiel are gorgeous and a fine choice!! If i stuck to smaller cat fish like synodontis family perhaps i could have more than one?!

More suggestions please :)

get yourself a eheim classix cheap runs good and you can get part's easy and there is a big version.

i woud sai 1 oscar , 1 couple of serverums , and 2 bristelnose catfich .
ow and put some wood in there and some plant's , i woud recommend valeseneria and oxygen plant's in a corner .

and set uw the tank with the wood and the plants and then run it for a week or 2 the slowly introduce the fich . get yourself good food , not only a can of food stiks . frozen red larvers and so wil be very good for your fisch .

greetings and have alot of fun with this hobby

Cycling th tank will take more than two weeks if my past experience is anything to go buy. worth the wait though!!

I had a look and the eheim classics are real cheap and the 2250 is a monster! Tanks upto 400G. I am now watching one on ebay!

ANy more for any more?

TTT.

I thought I'd have been logging on to lots of replies. But the threads about ppl overstocking and putting tiny ugly tanks in offices seems more popular lol.

Hey Oli, I know my lfs was selling the FX5 for £70 new. Probably a 40/50 minute drive from you, but definitely a bargain to be had if they've still got them in stock.
