who among you guys have kept both together? i'm planning on adding a fire eel because i can see my WAL's behavior is pretty mellow and passive, do you guys think this would work?

bad idea to keep WAL with tankmates in most cases. don't keep African lungfishes with anything you don't want to sacrifice. there are exceptions, but they are few and far between. African lungfishes generally become more aggressive as they get older as well, so what may work for now may likely change with time. proceed with great caution, but i would highly advise against it--

right now my WAL is 15" and wouldn't even touch the small three spot gouramis i bought as feeders. i tried to add him in my community tank and my rtcxtsn attacked him the relentlessly, so now he is in a temporary 60g with feeders. is it normal that when i touch him he doesn't try to swim away? he lets me touch him without hesitation.

Just don't touch the business end! They can give a nasty bite!

w/c part is that specifically?

the mouth. they can crush with great power and strike with immense speed. you won't see it coming, trust me.

African lungfishes will randomly and unpredictably attack tankmates...this has been repeated over and over and over again in the lungfish forums. it may work for a week or a month or even a year, but all of a sudden they will attack other fishes...and they can cause plenty of damage with a single bit to cause a fatal wound. don't keep it with anything you don't want to lose.

As mine grew, more and more tankmates died...now it's by itself.

Depends on the fish actually. Jardini Aros are more likely than these guys. Really, though, if you do wanna try, please tell us how long you've had this guy first. 15" isn't exactly a good indicator, as diet can affect growth profoundly.
