I gave it bare bottom tank, hydro-sponge filters, and a hide to retreat to the first night.

Then came the black sand, Anubias plants and a slab of that square honeycomb light-diffuser. Most would agree that target puffers that look remotely close are not far off for husbandry.
The little puffer seems like a fairly people friendly creature so far.

Yes, immediiately. Normanl frozen / thawed shrimp, live ghost shrimp.
- I must try a cherry shrimp tank.
-Very curious to see how many I need to always have some live candy for them to chase.

The personality is what counts.


On a side note, here is a personality of a different species, the palembangensis / dragon, that comes out and cruises around too.
Puffers are hit or miss with personality.

I’ve kept palembangs before, my male was 100% a rock, the female was also a rock, except it was one that would show up in random spots...
