Sorry guys I wouldn't say i am new to the Cat world... I was just wondering if anyone ever housed an Electric cat with a walking cat together? They are both very serious little guys. My electric cat is currently housed with a Synd cat and they get along just fine.. LOL, well they stay at opposite ends of the tank. It is time for some consolidating so any opinions??

Alright I admit I jumped the gun on this thread a little bit. They would be housed in a 55 together.....After some research it seems that everyones Electric cat grows extremely quick. Mine however does not. I got him around an inch and I would say in 1yr he is about 2 inches. My walking cat however has tripled in size....
I would assume the aggressive behavior of "Walky" would get him killed...
Any input would of course be appreciated.

I would say no, they shouldn't be put together.

I had electrics for a while, but I kept the two alone. From what I've read they can only be housed with some (possible all) syno's because the synos are immune to the shock. I didn't get a chance to test the theory.

I do know that the shock gets more powerful as the fish grow. After about 8" you don't want to be shocked by them, you'll remember it if you are. From what I know about the clarius they are very aggressive.

A tip for the e-cat, feed him worms. Like leaf worms at this size. My 10" & 8" used to devour several nightcrawlers a piece each night.

I have personally witnessed an EC put into a tank with Clarias...ended up with the Clarias flinging themselves out the top of the tank lol. An ECs shocks get stronger and more fish killy as they get bigger.
