Wallago Attu

This Catfish is 6" long and jet black and has cool teeth!

I researched a little bit and see they can get big. Not sure if this is the correct species.

Anybody know what the catfish is worth and advice on keeping one for a little while with a small Aba Aba knife?

Thanks in advance Cat fish Legends.

After researching for awhile I am still not sure which one it is out of the 5 species.

Looks to be a Wallago micropogon since its jet black and the only species that's looks jet black.

Can't tell from the picture as all the characteristics I'd use to distinguish between the species(mouth, body shape, etc) are impossible to see in the pic. As for coloration most fish can take on strikingly dark or light coloration under stress so it's not a good characteristic to use in my opinion.

As for co-habbing with an Aba, while I have no personal experience with Aba's from everything I read they're nightmares when it comes to aggression. Between that and the teeth on many Siluridae and I think you'd be asking for problems.

I believe it'll be close to impossible with an aba. I have both and are also aggressive. My leeriis are with big guys with no problems, but the aba is either too aggressive or will get killed due to its lack of protection.

Either way, awesome fishes:)

Oh i house my aba with buetti tilapias with no problem (for some weird reason) but he killed a paroon shark.

That attu is a monster bro. I've wanted one for a while but they rarely come up for sale in the uk :(

He is. He just goes from docile to extremely aggressive when feeding. :) the leerii is more docile but swims like a battle cruiser and gulps down prawn after prawn. Hes actually as long as the attu but the bulk is comparable to my tsns:)
