Sorry. I wasn't trying to lowball. I was conducting business. It is my job as the consumer to save money and your job as the seller to make money. It would be counter productive to the laws of shrewd business for me to start high with an item that you are offering to sale and clearly asking for an offer. Good Luck With Your Sale

Only about $30-40 more at most. This fish is in the $150 range for value. What it is eating doesn't affect price, just sellability. With any fish you want to sell put a price as a base and except offers. Then you won't be offended. Another thing is these fish grow fast. They have a limited market and as with all big cats the bigger they get the less you'll get for them.

I wasn't offended by the offer. Maybe my scale of price is off because I was over charged for it myself. I'm going to be completely transparent here, I paid $125 for this fish at 6". Maybe it is only worth $150 to you, but to me this fish is worth closer to $200-225. If I can't sell at that price then fine, I have a 750 gallon tank that it can be happy in for a very long time.

You didn't over pay at that size. You might be able to get $175 for it, but idk. Worse you can do is try. If you have the tank the you can have more discretion on price. Just my opinion. I have had one, sold one and seen many for sale. There is not a big market for them so it is tuff to sell. Most wholesale on these don't have a size I have seen 12" fish come in with 6" fish at the same price. Wholesale on these is $90. I paid about the same as you for my fish, I later sold it for the same or just under what I paid for it. I don't recall exactly. Good luck with the sale.
