Wallago Attu

At my lfs they have a wallago attu catfish. Ive heard of them reaching 8 foot in length and that they are insanely aggresive.

So can anyone direct me to a site to learn some more about these beasts, and does anyone at mfk have one?

in the wild they are up to 6ft longe and wiegh over 100 lbs. Check on fishbase for more info

your better off sticking with the ompok sp. the stay fairly small, 16" look similar

There are also several eel tailed catfish from australia if you can find them, the come in several sizes from a foot to around 3'.

They are considered dangerous to humans on there native land. I would love to have one though.

Guppy do you know the scientific name of the eel tailed cat ive seen pics of them theyre pretty cool

i would seriously advise u not to get.
1st: they grow very big n fast
2nd: it cost a bomb to feed those monster
3rd: tat fish is only suitable to keep in pond

I am not interested in getting one and I just wanted to know some stuff about them. Because I have never seen them at any lfs till the other day.And I was wondering if there were any smaller subspecies which I just learned is the ompok.
