walleye and perch tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
180 should be a good size tank for a walleye. But if you could get ahold of a few sauger they might fair better as they tolerate warmer water. If you stay with walleye I would keep the tank in a cool place and keep the water below 70, even better keep it closer to 65 or lower.

I've kept perch and they wouldn't touch anything that wasn't live. I fed mine minnows and nightcrawlers.

I got my perch and bluegill on FD krill and shrimp, also frozen shrimp and scallops.

well its three months and my fish are doing great. the walleye have grown about 1 1/2 in size. the perch are also growing fast. water temp is staying about 65 to 68. man can them fish eat. i have three walleye, three perch, and three hybrid bluegill and they eat about 5 dozen minnows and a dozen crawlers a week. its like watching jaws feeding when i turn the minnows loose. i will try to post pics soon.
