My mom went to a local Walmart a couple weeks ago, and they had no fish. All 20 or so 5 gallon tanks were completely empty. They didn't even have bettas. The lady in the pet department said that they would no longer carry fish. Have our voices been heard? I certainly hope so.

I just thought that it was good that that particular store no longer carried fish. This isn't the Great Depression or anything ;)

Ya I think alot of Walmarts are moving to not carrying live fish. There have been a few of there aquarium systems for sale.

Cichlid fiend, maybe make a rant thread in the lounge instead of derailing.

Or is it? maybe even a march toward socialist nation.

I sure hope all wal-marts stop selling fish.

Walmart isn't all that bad. It's meijer you should worry about. I can't even begin to explain. Imagine 5 adult oscars and a jardini in a 25 gallon, covered in ich, not fed in a week, times 25. That's almost meijer.

We're already in America. I hope so too.

Cool. The largest tank they carry is 55G anyway.

Wow. Meijer sounds terrible. How do they even have any service? :(

My walmart just installed 3 new tank systems :(

whats so bad about walmart selling fish? at least they don't keep bettas in snapple bottles like my local pet store.
