tank is a 30g I threw together a about 6 months ago with a second hand led light with whites leds only. kept my plants alive but not much growth. I also dosed with excel and flourish.
on a whim 2 weeks ago I threw on a 2700 k led bulb I had laying around. noticed growth on the plants under the light . it seems that my cheap light wasn't doing much at all for the plants.so I decided to go get a t8 for my unused light hood
once there I found this led grow light. looked interesting and at $13, I figured it wouldn't hurt to test it out.
now I'm running the white led with the grow light attached underneath. for the past coupe weeks i have been dosing a capfull of excel and flourish every Wed and saturday.
it's been on since Sunday afternoon and I already see plant growth that is significant based on my experiences from the past few months. lights are on from 8 to 9.
the light gives the tank a little pinkish glow which looks awesome on my cherry shrimp , gives them a fluorescent kinda glow. I will post update and pics to show my plants crawling out of the tank from the yuge growth
