Want to add one more fish...

... to my 180 gal. Right now there is a 8" spotted gar, a 6" oscar, and a 5" ocell PB. Eventually the PB will outgrow this tank and be a non factor. I have two canisters and two AC110s running on the tank, I think I can handle bioload for one more large or a few smaller fish.

Anyway, I know these threads are common, but I'm going to toss it out there for suggestions anyway?? I really have a thing for jags, would that be unreasonable in this setup? I also like the super red severums I have seen on here. But I'm open to about anything...

Why is it that you can not add a Jag. Is there some golden rule that they can not be housed with the fish you already have.

No, they are notoriously aggressive, especially when they get a lot of size to them. According to what I've viewed online anyway, although it sounds like you either get a super aggressive male or a calmer female and there is nothing in between? Does someone who knows think I would be ok if I introduced a jag that was smaller than the other fish in the tank?

get a RTC!! ... or u might want to try a pacu, i think tropical is the way to go

I want both of these, but it would be irresponsible to acquire either. No way I can house either for life, at least at this stage of mine anyway.
