I would really love to breed my jack dempseys, especially because my male has such awesome colors. right now I have two males and one female in a 55 gallon tank. Already had to remove one other male because he was fighting with my nicest one. Do i have to remove the other male before they will breed? He is much smaller than the dominant one, and they don't fight because he is probably not perceived as a threat. But do i need to get rid of him anyway if i wnat them to mate? The big male is around 6 inches and my female is more like 4. thanks for the help

They may or may not. Ususally the best way is to get several, and let them pair off by themselves.
