So I get in the mood every once in awhile where I want to change up some stock. This time around I need some ideas though.

I want to keep my Zigzag eel, BN Pleco and the 5 Clown & 5 YoYo Loaches.

What would be a good mix of more docile SA/CA cichlids to place with them? I love Green Terrors but they are very common...but I love their coloration. Was thinking a breeding pair or just a male and then a trio or something.

Any thoughts?

Tank is a 6' 150g filtered with a FX5 + XP3

Ampliophus Lyonsi are awesome and not quite as aggressive as some of the others. Bocourti are great looking and also not as aggressive as some other sa/ca. Green Terrors are not all that peaceful either just so ya know. It all depends on the perticular fish, but most of my GT's weren't really "peaceful" like my Bocourti and Lyonsi's were. Maybe even an Acara would be ok too as they look close to a GT, but are mostly peaceful.

Get some Balzani Cichlids... They're not too aggressive, they're not common, and they grow to a nice size and have amazing colors as Juvies and Adults! Here was mine back in August.

maybe some ram cichlids but they seem pretty common too. if you are looking for SA/CA cichlids there are not many that are too docile. i have housed 8" oscars with goldfish peacefully so get a juvenile SA/CA cichlid and see how it goes. every fish has a different personality.

When I say docile I'm thinking GT/JDish...RT (both Red Texas and Red Terror) is what I think when aggressive.

Was thinking some Geos or something...trio of some kind of Gio with 1 big centerpiece fish?

Was thinking...

ZZ Eel - Already have, love this little guy
7 Clown Loaches - bumping up their number by 2
3-5 - Geo Orange Heads (Was thinking just 3 but doing a bit of reading and it seems they do better in a group of 5)
1 Gold Saum (thinking of a real looker here, will order from Rapps line bred ones)
