So I've got a marineland 37 gallon eclipse sitting around and I'm considering doing a saltwater tank, but I have some questions.

The equipment is a 37 gallon 30" x 12" x 22"
It has a built in filter and flourescent light above the tank, not sure about the GPH.

My questions are:
What other equipment do i need and around how much is each going to cost me?

What kind of fish can I keep? I'm not really into clowns, I wish i could get a porcupine puffer but the tank isn't big enough :irked:.

Well first of all you should get a skimmer. It'll make life much easier. Fish really depends on what you're looking for. Damsels are cool but eventually they start ripping each other apart. Easy to care for though. Maybe look into the nano section at live aquaria?

k so i need a skimmer but about the fish are the nano's all i can choose from?
I was thinking something a little bigger with a lot of personality.
Any suggestions?

There are actually quit a few for a 37. You should probably look around live aquaria and check it out just to a get a feel of what you'd like. Dwarf angels, hawkfish, some anglers, dart fish, its really up to your preference :)

you looking to keep one fish, Or couminuity tank? Corals?

Eqiptment wise, check out some powerheads ( i recomend Vortech MP10. Best money i have spent on my tank! )

I say go to liveaquaria.com

As for skimmer get the Coral life super skimmer! For you if you plan to upgrade get the 100gal if not only get the 65gal they will do wonders for your tank!

Lighting coral life lunar aqua lights wht ever size you need

get a refractometer hydrometers suck...
and get koralia evolution for pwer head

And I suggest building a sump! It will be cheap and you can house everything from heater to skimmer in it!
