In front of my tanks
been in to rc for a while had mostly cars and truck both electric and nitro. For xmas i got a small 2 channel heli and got good at flying it in the house so the wife said i can up grade hehe. I've been looking at the 3d 6 channel eletric helis some of the ones i've been looking at are in the $100 to $200 range does anyone have any pointers like what to look for what ones need the least tweaking ect. Thanks

i cant suggest to you any good helicopters. however, go electric, they are the simplest in terms of operation. the ppl at your LHS should be able to suggest you a good one within your price range.

id get really good at controlling your heli before you try buying a bigger one. my dad flies heli's and he cant control them even with the slightest bit of wind. except for his larger raptor heli with nitro. but he flies them in a gymnasium with this RC club

What about the ones with 2 main rotors and no tail rotor?

single rotor helicopters are much more common

Maybe they are more common, but the ones with 2 main rotors and no tail rotor look more controllable and easier to fly.

they probably are, since you dont have to work a tail rotor, but i really dont know how available they are

ive had 3 rc heli's. i never got good with them because my mrntal cousin came over and broke them all. i recently got a $135 air plane from my uncle. i need to replace most of the parts because he crashed it. it looked like a real crash because its a big plane LOL

I dont know if you all noticed but just yesterday there was an ad for a double rotor copter at the bottom of the screen.I have always wanted to get into this hobby as well so I plan on looking to this copter and the web site-xheli.com.
