I've been wanting bichir for a while but don't know a whole lot about them. From ALL the fish listed, the ones I want the most have a "+" sign by them. Some of the ones I'd like to keep are:
+Delhezi
+Ornate
Senegal

From what I've seen some people do, I think some cool tank mates would be:
+Green Severum
Jack Dempesy
+Convict
+Midas
Fire Eel
+Black Ghost Knife

If possible, I'd like to get all of those fish in one tank.
Some questions I'd like answered:
What size of tank for maybe all of those fish?
What ones can live together w/out probs.?

Thanks for the help

the dempsey, convict and midas might be a little to aggresive and get the food before the bichirs. Ive got mine in with a bgk and a fire eel so that should be ok.

What size is this tank? Fire eels, BGK, and severums work best with the bichirs. I'd go with the P. delhezi.:D

i be honest guys out of the experience i have had with cichlids and polypterus species from my own experience i would say dont put a midas with any polypterus they are too aggressive when larger , dempseys considering its a large tank like say 6x2x2 if they got plenty of territory polypterus should be fine also dont add anything lwith large mouths i once saw an oscar eat a polypterus senegalus just like as if it was a worm the polypterus was 6inchs long ,
if u have rowdy cichlids i would recomend polypterus ornatipinnis or polypterus delhezi , polypterus delhezi are far more aggressive and have a decent bite to defend.

Question,
A)What size is your tank?
