hi
i want to know of any big ancient fish that are aggressive. i would also like to know if any of these fish could possibly fit in a 55 gallon tank.

senegal bichirs, certain other smaller bichir species too. These wont bully other fish though, only eat what fits in their mouth.

Bowfins, they will eat any thing smaller tan they are ane if you get a 6" your 55 will work for a couple years. Keep the tank in the high 60"s-low 70"s and they grow slow.

so my gars are big and can eat anything that moves but that doesnt mean there agressive, when they arnt eating they school toghether and swim around the tank. in my opinion they are realitivley calm.

channa gachuas. but there not realy agressive. you gonna need a 75 gal or bigger to house anythign real cool
