want to start pike fishing

hi ive been carp and general course fishing for around 20 years but ive never thought about pike fishing this year im defiantly going to start so i would like to know what tactics are best to start off and any helpfull tips and tactics from you experinced anglers thanks

well depending on the season early spring right after ice off, fish shallow flats with spinnerbaits and buzzbaits for spawning fish.

He's talking about pike fishing in England. Almost completely different season. Ask one of the UK fishermen.

i know hes from england so when ever spring is thats what to do what is it over there now fall? trolling with crankbaits and spinnerbaits should take some fish

thanks evryone can you tell me what the different types of lures do like what id need for shallows and what id need for deep water what lures for weedy rivers or lakes etc

big spoons and all other big baits that have a erratic movement.

IF u got a boat , i suggest u get some big ass wobblers like Cisco kid or something like that and go "Trolling" dont know the english word for it but u basicly drag the lure behind the boat , pretty easy way to find them and with good baits ul end up with a big ass pike if ur lucky ! going fishing for some pike my self soon hopefully.
