Ok. Like the title says. I have a male Thai silk. I want to give him a chance to breed. I have a few fish already that he could breed with can't decide what to try tho. So here are the options.

The flowerhorn is about 8-9" maybe.

I have a female jag 8" maybe.
Also a female loisellei 4-5" maybe. Still not 100% on the sex but been told it's female
Also a female calico con w beautiful narkings. She's still to small to be anything but food though.

Also considering buying a Texas to try w him.

Any thoughts? Also how should I go about introducing the female?

I would do the jaguar as Im interested in what the fry would look like. or the texas.

I think the jag would be my best bet since she's already laid eggs a few times and size wise she could handle him hopefully. He would have no problem killing the others quickly. I'm just not sure what type of colors I could get from that combo. Jags are pretty drab color wise in my opinion. I also was hoping to come up w a fish that will max out at 12" tops. Maybe it will produce something nice though.

cross out calico convict. The rest are all good interesting choices.

Why no convict? I'm looking to bring out some colors other than blue. Primarily red. What should I be looking to breed him with?

I think a jag cross would be ugly. Color and body shape on the majority of fry would not be desirable unless you like long grey fish. Find a stocky bodied pearly fish to match the silks pearl and shape. Texas may be good I almost tried that myself a few years ago.

Have you considered another strain of flowerhorn? Im growing out fry from my silk x srd. Ive seen colorful pearly fh from crossing those strains.

The only jag cross I've seen that was awesome was jag X jack dempsey, all the other jag crosses I've seen are either muddy brown or looked like a fader jag with no markings...in other words not that great.
