Gave my masheers to my uncle for his pond. He's thinking of getting rid of the kois and doing masheers only with a few high fin banded sharks kendragon

Mahseers will compete with them for algae and much faster. Big HiFins need lot of algae to stay alive. I recently cleared a koi pond (not mine) of algae and now I'm fearing the 18" HiFin won't get enough to eat.
