Wanted Snowflake eel need some info

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
what kind of info do you need? The FW snowflake moray is more of a high-brackish/marine fish than a pure freshwater fish.

unless you plan on setting up a brackish tank don,t bother with the snowflake eel.it will probably get diseased and die on you.these fish eventually need full marine as adult.

those freshwater snow flake eels you see at your local fish store are not a pure freshwater species and you should expect to keep it in very very hard and alkaline water that should eventually be turned into brackish.

so, in short, please don't buy it.

I just got a snow flake eel- for my salt water aquarium- that's right isn't it? (He won't dies will he?)

If it is Echidna nebulosa, then it is a SW fish, even if it is the FW moray, it will do good in SW too.
