Hey all Just joined the site an have a few questions

I am new to aro's but have been keeping big big cichlids for a couple of years

I just went and purchased a 225 gallon tank :woot: 6' x 28 " x 24 " I think are the demensions

If I buy an aro what would be some good tank mates

I was thinking about

4 or 5 severums
1 or 2 Jack dempseys
4 earth eater cichlids
6 silver dollers

would that be to much or would the aggresion be to much or will it seem over crowded
any advice would be helpful
thanks

Which aro were you planning on getting? The jardini can get pretty agressive when bigger, while the SA arows are more tolerant of tankmates.

it sounds fine, if your gonna bet a silver or black arow. but only have 3-4 sevs.

an 8 foot talk would be better, but i suppose that could do....just wont have much room to swim when it gets big.

Ok thanks alot guys Im not 100 % sure what im gonna stock the tank with Im just looking for some good solid ideas for it

but thank you forthe advice :)

Ive got several fish with my aro, from my experience if it cant fit in its mouth...it will be ok.

clown loach, siamese tiger and stingrays like motoro's would be nice as aro tankmates. :)

get a ST

they are a must for arowana tank mates
