Hey guys so I want to pick up one more cichlid for my 75g tank. It is planted but with well established plants or ones that are tied down. Right now I have a firemouth, salvini, and green terror. The largest is the Salvini around 2.5". What CA/SA would you add to this group?

I'd hold off from adding any more Cichlids for the time being. You could likely add a group of 5-8 fast dithers (Giant Danios). However, once that Salvini reaches 4-5", it's going to give the other fish trouble. The Green Terror could also end up being pretty aggressive. As for the plants, what species are you keeping? I wouldn't be surprised if they start ripping them up once they get a bit larger.

Basically what Manu said. I know it probably seems pretty empty right now but once your fish start getting bigger it's gonna be packed. Dither fish will help it feel more full for the time being. That'd be my recommendation.

I wouldn't add any more cichlids, I think you would be asking for trouble.Don't underestimate how aggressive a mature salvini can be.

I agree that the fish u have now will change, adding more will likely cause trouble.also taking into account you might end up with a mixed pair unless you can ID what sex u have

Only mixed pair he could have would be the meeki and salvini. If I'm correct, GT are South American and won't hybridize, or atleast not produce viable fry. Sure the salvini meeki hybridization is possible but I wouldn't think it likely. Far more likely the salvini will go nuts and kill everything (I've heard they do that) or it goes long enough that the GT may.

In any scenario, the firemouth 95% ends up dead; and quickly.

Both the salvini and GT stand a very good chance of going homicidal, if not at 2.5 inches; then you'll start to see it around the 4-5 inch mark.

I think you'll be left with one cichlid in the end.
