I have 100lbs of it in my 125.
I got 10x Cory cats. After about a couple months 2 died a few days apart. I assumed it was my group of Roseline sharks hogging the food and rehomed them. Now a couple weeks later 5 have died off in two days. This time tho I was able to inspect the remains, the others were picked clean of flesh mostly.
What I learned is that their little barbels are all ground off and the entire mouth area looks like it was ground down then swollen shut causing starvation.
The sand looks and feels more like crushed rock, not natural sand that has been worn smooth over time.
So if you have Petco Imagitarium black sand be careful with diggers
